This Week's Activity: Tuesday March 15
Young Women Combined: Stake Patriarch coming to speak Tuesday, 7pm Relief Society Room. Find out about patriarchal blessings. What are they? How can I get one? Once I have one, then what? Thanks to the suggestion from Angela Allred, Darby Farr and Ashlyn Allred. Easy way to pass off a Personal Progress goal. Just bring your booklet and journal to write thoughts and we’ll pass you off at the end. Snacks after.
***Interested in going to Once Upon A Mattress Play Darby and Keelie Farr are in Thurs, Fri and Sat? Get Details from your leader at Tuesday activity.

Trek Info
Going to Trek? Check out attachment for details on how to prepare.
Walking Group - Sis. Tylene Shelley starting this up to physically prepare for trek. Will be a weekday after school. Details given Sunday.
Trek Hero story - See below. Simple, short way to spiritually prepare for Trek. You will get an email reminder when it's your turn to share in opening exercises or at activity. Doesn't hurt to have an inspiring story even if you're not going on Trek so a few of you not going are included on schedule.
My Trek Hero - Who inspires you? The pioneer-trail and trail of life is difficult. Who will you look to for strength? Share a 1-2 minute story on a relative that inspires you. Could be a short story about a pioneer ancestor that crossed the plains, or that converted to the church just a few years ago, or how a relative stood up for what is right and you admired it. That person’s life can be a source of strength and in difficult times can inspire you to move ahead.

“We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things” (Articles of Faith 1:13).

ACTIVITY FOR MARCH 1st
Young Women Combined -" Fitness and Nutrition Tips - Your Questions Answered! "
Tuesday, 7pm Relief Society Room
Registered Dietician Rachael Erickson (Sis. Brinkerhoff's sister) will be motivating us. Remember those panel questions you wrote on white index cards back in December? Many were concerns about nutrition and fitness which she will specifically address. Open Q&A at the end and healthy tasty snacks served.
Young Women Temple Recommends - In Stake Conference we were urged by President Condie to go to the temple as a family. I do have all young women temple recommends here at my house, but they are yours to use any and all the time. Parents can take daughters and young women you can go with sisters or friends any time. There are several young women in the ward that go regularly and just hold on to theirs until the next time we go as a group. Just don't want you to feel like you can only go as an official activity. You are welcome and encouraged to go to the temple anytime.

I need them signed and brought to Young Women's tomorrow, Tuesday to the activity. Sunday at the latest. If you don't already have a form, I have attached a copy you can print and sign. 3) Want to be in Seminary next year? If you/ your daugther are going into 9th, 10th 11th or 12th grade and will attend seminary next year, Bro. Smith has Preliminary Seminary Paperwork that needs to be signed by a parent by Jan. 24th.
This is just the first step; the second will be the students and their parents actually registering for release time when they sign up for their 2011-2012 classes. Here is the list of those the church computer system included. Please note that not all will be entering 9th grade this next school year (in fact, I know some are too young), but this is what was pulled up for youth ages 14-17.
So check out the list below and either A) email me back if not attending seminary - too young etc. so I can correct the ward count OR B) You/ your daughter will be attending - On Tuesday, Parents, when you drop off your daughter for the activity: park the car. come in the church to the Bishop's office. Bro. Smith will be there with the paperwork ready for you.
