We just wanted to remind you that Youth Conference is at Aspen Grove, Monday through Wednesday, May 31-June 2. It is going to be an great experience.
We ask that no youth bring electronic devices such as cell phones, ipods, mp3 players, etc. This rule is being implemented by all of the wards and stakes attending. Please call me if you have any questions or concerns. All of the leaders in attendance will be carrying cell phones. A list will be sent out on Sunday evening so that you can communicate with your daughters if needed.
Your daughters will be well fed during the conference, but they will need to bring their own lunch on Monday and may want to bring a few snacks.
Aspen Grove strongly encourages closed-toe shoes because of the terrain. (My personal plan is closed toed shoes for Monday for hiking and the activities, and sandals for Tuesday.)
If you haven't done so already, please get your permission slip turned in to Sister Athena Hammer as soon as possible. If you need a copy of the forms, they can be found at:

Here is a letter from Bishop Hansen with additional details:
Dear Youth Parents:
Information has been distributed to your youth regarding Youth Conference at Aspen Grove which will take place between Monday May 31 – Wednesday June 2. We are excited your youth will be joining us for hiking, swimming, dancing, and some very impressive youth speakers. We hope the following information will be helpful as you prepare to send your youth with us for three days of fun spiritual enrichment:
1. On Monday, May 31st, we will be meeting at the church at 9am. Please have your youth dressed in hike-worthy clothing as we will be hiking to Stewart Falls as soon as we get to Aspen Grove.
2. Your youth have been given a packing list. Included on this packing list is a list of things NOT to bring. Please ensure you son or daughter has kept these items home.
If you have not seen the packing list, you can find it at: http://aspen.byu.edu/PDF/yc/Summer%20Youth%20Conference%20Guide.pdf on page 15.
Please remind your youth to bring a swimsuit, scriptures, and dress clothes (the dress for the dance is casual but your youth may have a favorite outfit) that he/she wants to wear for the dance.
3. Each participant needs to bring their own lunch on Monday.
4. On Wednesday, June 2nd, the youth will return home sometime between noon and 1pm. Their leaders will drop them off at your home.

“We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things” (Articles of Faith 1:13).
